What is Yaya Gemma?

Yaya Gemma is a dinner readiness system that works ahead from what is already in the household's kitchen. Every evening, it delivers one dinner that the household can actually make with what they have, sized to the energy available tonight. It is not a recipe app, not a meal planner, and not a meal kit. The system runs seven steps so the household runs three — and the third one is just cooking.

How is Yaya Gemma different from recipe apps?

Recipe apps give you ideas and leave you to check whether you have the ingredients. Meal planners give you a week to defend against real life. Yaya Gemma starts from your actual kitchen and outputs one decision per evening — already matched to your energy and your ingredients. If the suggestion does not fit, it re-derives from current kitchen state rather than breaking the plan.

One meal you can actually make with what's in your kitchen — decided before you get home, and easy enough for the evening you're having. Yaya Gemma is coming to the App Store.

One email, on launch day. That's it.

    The mental load

Cooking isn't the tiring part. Deciding is.

Deciding for everyone, every evening, with no end to it.

Holding who won't eat what, what's left, and what needs buying again.

By half six it's too late to decide well. So it's pasta again.

    The evening you're having

One dish. Doable tonight, given the evening you're having.

She takes account of the evening you're having. You can also just tell her yourself.

She reads only how busy your evening is, never what is in it.

    Seven behind, three in front

    73

Seven things handled before you get home. Three left for you.

And the third one is just dinner.

    What Yaya Gemma does

    • Looks at what's actually in your kitchen.
    • Leaves out anything your household can't eat.
    • Checks how busy your evening is — never what's in it.
    • Leans towards what needs using up first.
    • Puts what's genuinely missing on one list, and skips what you already own.
    • Picks one dinner. Not a page of results.
    • Talks you through it, hands-free.

    What you do

    1. Show it your kitchen.
    2. Do the shop, and snap the receipt.
    3. Open it, cook, and tap done.

Yaya Gemma does the checking. You do the cooking.

Seven things happen before you get home, so that when you get home there's only one thing left: dinner.

All of that, so your evening asks you one question instead of three.

    What I left out

Nothing that makes you feel behind.

No streaks. No scores. One quiet nudge, once.No is enough.

You already have enough things keeping count.
